Quick Introduction

Ballroom Music Player software is the result of an ongoing project aimed to offer ballroom dancers and teachers internet based music software.
Our objective was to simplify use of music in the teaching process – practice and save time and most importantly – money.
To achieved that, we designed the graphical interface to be intuitive and easy to learn. Screens were are organized according to most common tasks ballroom dancers have to deal with.
Our Ballroom Music Player also provides centralized access to all digital music stored on local media like hard drive, iPod, CD or memory stick.
It supports, most of the common digital formats such as: wav, mp3, cda etc…( click here to view list of supported formats);
BMP could be best described as java based client, with mplayer as
its music engine. The BMP enables everybody to access and take advantage of the entire Ballroom Radio music catalog. BMP also provides tools to access and play playlists from multiple teachers or dancers who need to share the music while on the floor.

System requirements

Windows users:
BMP requires a PC with a 500 MHz Pentium-class processor, 256MB of RAM , Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, Windows XP, or 32-bit editions of Windows Vista or Windows 7
DSL, cable modem, or local area network (LAN) Internet connection is recommended.
BMP is written in java language. therefore Java must be installed on your computer. To check if

Installation

Download BMPInstall_last.zip file from www.BallroomRadio.com/softwareDownloads/BallroomMusicPlayer. After download unzip the installation folder. Double-click the setup.exe installer and follow the onscreen instructions.

Please check frequently for updates.

First Steps

After successful installation, the Ballroom Studio Player is ready for use.No further steps are required.Click on BMP icon on your desktop.
After startup you will need to authenticate the player in order to play songs in their full length.
The user name and password can be changed in Preferences Panel.
Please make sure that your spelling is correct if you have troubles to login. If problems persist please check if all files were installed properly. To find out how to verify the installation readtroubleshooting.
